Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
More accurately is society alcoholic and drug addicted?
I'll preface this by stating that this has nothing to do with our own individual sobriety, as we know what we have to do, but rather a pure discussion topic.
If you look at all the alcohol, opitates ( legal and otherwise), MJ, cocaine , designer drugs, anti-anxieities, anti-psychotics , tobacco,etc consumed in America you wonder just how many people truely ever draw a sober breath.
The average social drinker is willing to pay higher insurance rates and be at greater personal risk in order to have their supply. I sometimes wonder if our young could meet and mate without alcohol?

It's only going to get worse, I am glad I have no kids, and I feel for my nephews they area already on a path to addiction. I could go on and on, but this world is screwed up if you ask me.
