I'm just in the middle of it y'all. I want to be better. I want to contribute and help the newcomers. Right now I am stuck in the middle of it. I don't hate. I'm not a hater. I'm not an asshole. Just don't know how to be right now. I'm angry at myself, no one else. I love. I do. I don't know how I ended up here. I just am what I am I guess. I'm sorry for what I am and that I am not where you are.

Don't be a statistic or a causality. You don't have to be and you don't have to be where I am but you have to decide. It's time to decide if you are going to get and maintain sobriety and whether or not you are willing to go to ANY lengths to get that. If not there are 3 other choices...

I suspect that you are a lot like I once was. An angry person who thought she hid it well. My self contempt was as evident as yours is. I did alot for others to mask my feelings of inadequacy. Of real love, I knew nothing.

You ended up where you are the same way the rest of us did. You are unable to put the drink down. I understand that level of powerlessness. Don't apologise for being where you are. You have worked hard to get there. I hope you live long enough to join us. We'll keep the light on. And save your apology for not being where most of us are. Doubt you would have been willing, at this stage of the game, to go through what many of us have gone through to get where we are today.
