Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Isn't it amazing how little could mean so much to so many. Crossing that line between drinking and not is huge. Being able to just not pick up that first drink . You feel great about your accomplishment and I'm sure your family does too. Your job can't help but get better if you are always there physically and mentally .Being that you jumped that first hurdle where are you going to go from here? This disease is cunning ,baffling and powerful. It is much to big for any one person to handle.I hope you have some Alcoholics Anonymous meetings available to you. AA can be instrumental in helping you find a solution to this dilemma.Nothing works quite as well as one alcoholic talking to another alcoholic. We may have come from different backgrounds and we probably wouldn't be caught dead drinking with one another. But we do have a common problem and there is solution in sharing our experience strength and hope with each other. I wish you well in your search for a better way of living without alcohol as your partner.Everyone whose life you affect will thank you as well.Keep coming back, we'll always be here for you. Greg

Good on you, Linda50. By abstaining you are going to get a much clearer picture of where you are with alcohol and its effect on you.

Good going Linda. You will feel better and better the longer you stay sober.

I remember my fourth day. I was scared shitless, but maybe that's why I'm still around.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
