Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Who am i? Am i a good person? Am i more than my addictions?
Addictions: plural.
I am filled with them.
They creep around under my skin, looking for satisfaction. Has my eye landed on a poison apple, glistening in the twilight? That's fancy talk for making a dubious decision to gamble the sum of my checking account while begging for extra money on some bullshit casino. I have to self-exclude and uninstall it. I am that lame, staring into my phone for 7 hours consecutively, and that retarded, to use every dollar and now find some secret fee has even over-drafted me.
Can you uninstall people? These jerks are too toxic, our time is poison: cancel everybody.
I am flailing in all this addiction. Give me coffee, give me tv, give me weed or some kind of fix. Ffs! I can't take it anymore!! Give me space.
This spiral of addiction has become my identity. I am in that category of not entirely dependable because i will straight betray myself.
Example, had to jump in on some strawberry and then peanut butter beer after my sober stretch. I was ill. It was not satisfying. I am in a place that alcohol will legit end me, and yet i still play with fire.
What is this identity? I have lofty ambitions. I have big dreams. You assholes are holding me back!!!
Ok. That's not rational, but some selfish voice in me feels that way. Everybody is an obstructor to my destiny and i am sick of being Cinderella.
Then comes the guilt. I am fallible. I have fallen. I can't get up!! I can't stop hating myself; and then the poisons floods my veins. The dragon snakes around, i am it's puppet. My identity has been swallowed by addiction. My memory will be stamped with it.
Whew. I needed to get that off my chest. Thanks for listening. I feel better now.
Addiction does not define me. Addiction does not control me. I will tame the beast. I will marry him.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

Meditation was like a gateway drug for me. It took me to places I never would have seen while stuck in my addictive, ego mode. I highly recommend.
God Bless
I drank and put my head in the sand so I didn’t see anything around me.
The Cinderella syndrome is simply sitting on the pity pot. Life is what you make it not the other way around
I appreciate the post because I don’t care to drink peanut butter beer today
I am good , I am worth it ,
Self talk is powerful
