I have been around the tables long enough to know what to do. But I am so tired of struggling to just hang on. I am spiritually, physically and mentally broken down I am not sure if my higher power wants me to be here any more. Maybe it is time to take that last drink and give up.

As we are not acquainted I just dead your profile GD I'm also in AA as you have mentioned a higher power.But for me I've never relied on HP to come up with all the answers Ifyou suffer from major deppresion are you seeking getting professional help Also. Make yourself do those things you enjoy healthy walks by the lake etc You have two boys
Every day is a celebration of there lives they need Their Dad every day
All this may seem difficult but the rewards are massive to.

Do you have a sponsor??? If not, you really need to get one. A sponsor will help you through the tough times. Really all you have to do is speak up in a meeting and tell the folks you need to talk to someone after the meeting because you want to drink. Try it and see if it helps.

I too suffer from a mental condition - bipolar. I know that if it isn't under control my view of my sobriety and the world around me is extremely distorted. If you are working with a psychiatrist call them. If not get one. I had to be willing to be hospitalized until stabilized to preserve my sobriety and life.

Of course, your higher power wants you around, even though the places depression takes us deceives us. There are many people that want you in their lives. All my best, and I truly hope you don't drink or hurt yourself and get the help you need to get back on track and return to enjoying life again..

Agree with the others. Life is a previous gift. So is sobriety.
Call someone and tell them how you feel.
You might feel better and you might just save them too!
