Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
I don't think about drinking as much as I did before. could be you are thinking about it.
Thing I do now is, if I want to drink I will, so I don't obsesse so much about it.
I've had some weird ones as early as a couple weeks ago.
I don't have 90 days, but my dreams have stopped.
Good luck and congrats!
Mine are always hiding to drink...and getting caught. Once I woke up tasting vodka & it made me gag. They're scary as hell and I am always feeling SHAME in them. They'll become less frequent in time. Just shake 'em off...
Congrats on 90 days! That's awesome! :)
At first it scared the hell out of me-what does this mean! Am I going to relapse? Oh no...what am I doing wrong??
Now I really feel nuetral-I have a worse time shaking off my dreams of my teens now. I know that the drinking ones are mysterious as well as so far harmless. Now I enjoy my waking hours!
At times during great stress, you might have a drinking dream, too. That's when you need to take good care of yourself and work your recovery program with gusto. The disease is always lurking in the recesses of your mind. lol It's doesn't necessarily mean that you're in danger of a relapse...just remembering what it used to be like. Regardless, if you are 'doing the do things' and practicing self reflection and honesty in whatever program you work, you'll probably be just fine.
Just know that they are dreams, write them down if you must, as you may see a pattern developing...but it is just your subconscious processing the days input. That's all.
As far as cravings, or desires to drink...those lesson too, as time goes on. Just tell yourself it's not an option and be proud of your sobriety.
