Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
Every relapse makes the detox and recovery harder.
Not to mention the feeling bad both physically and mentally-one again. I loved my daily wine drinking starting at a few glasses and ending with a few bottles.
Feels good to be sober this Easter.
All the best asthmasucks.
Now I feel pretty comfortable when I'm in nice restaraunts and friends are drinking. But if I didnt...my sobriety comes first. Its precious to me and I won't risk it to be socially polite.
You can always tell your friends that you can't drink because of the med and you don't want to be around it for a few weeks because it will be tempting. Then ask if you can go out to Starbucks or some other place where you can sit and chill and alcohol is not an option.
I do not go to AA meetings, but many people here find them helpful.
