Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I would think that the 'creeping' into a higher volume consumption would definitely be a critical concern because of the long-term effects it would have on his body. Even the starting and stopping of consumption has to be putting his body into shock. I think that's called binge drinking or something.
I think alcoholic has a connotation of addiction. I don't know if binge drinking is an addiction. I think it could become habit or routine which might identify a person as alcoholic.
I finally had enough and got sober.
Nobody is going to get him sober, only I would say check out a other group here.

It's ironic that that was the first site I found here. I will say that you have helped me today to remember
How bad I was to my wife when I was boozing.
Remember. The more u nag the more he rebels. Just ignore. I would suggest making things difficult. Make him do laundry, cook, clean. B/c when I was drinking there were no negatives... In my mind ... Just my .02
