how do you have fun sober?

The last few days have been really hard for me, I have wanted to drink a lot!! I keep =finding ways not too but even tonight sitting in a meeting I was thinking about it!!!! That usually doesnt happen!!

I was just sitting there thinking, "yeah and after this meeting Im going to go home, be alone and bored....is this all there is to recovery?
I know its not and I have to do more of the work..

I am just getting bored, or antsy, I dont know....I am grateful for all that I have, but what about "letting your hair down" and having fun??? I do not know how to do that sober. I do not know how to make friends beyond in the rooms, and it staying there...

What do you all do that is FUN now that you are sober?

Nemo I got to live my dreams too...actually it started when I got to Guam not because I stopped drinking...but stopping drinking was an important part of it....I was working in a Christian missionary radio station as a DJ on weekends and I still was drinking with my friends often...the decision was that I was not living as a good Christian and I needed to do that....so I sobered up...more to stop drunk driving than anything to do with being Christian but it helped that I had the people of the church around me supporting me too...and my work in radio was my high school dream....
