Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
Last December I had to escape a situation at home so I booked into a motel room where I have been for over 2 months now. During the first month I drank lots and lots of wine and beer while pondering how unbearable my life had become. In a state of fear and desperation I trusted someone who I should NOT have trusted. My perception of everything and everyone becomes very skewed with alcohol. After a few alcohol-free days the reality of my situation hit me and I felt anxious, alone, angry, suicidal, depressed. With no one to trust or confide in I began to pray like never before. The days turned into weeks and now it is just over 1 month since I had the last drink and I have experienced significant changes in myself and my external circumstances. I officially became homeless on 31st January when I left the past behind along with all the toxic people who were in it. The motel room is costly but not fancy and the money in the bank will run out eventually if I don't find another place soon. I have to believe the situation will improve each day. Being homeless is a problem in itself.
If I drink I will have 2 huge problems to deal with. Just want to be safe and sober. I see some light now. Never going back again.
Hope you all have a beautiful day
God Bless

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

Take care of yourself and I hope you find that safe space soon.
It’s-2 outside with a strong wind so I’m glad you’re not in New England.
When I got sober and stayed sober, good things began to happen and my life changed for the better. I would call them miracles because there were too many occuring to be called coincidence. Now I have a great life, and I am happier then I have ever been. It might help you to try an AA beginners meeting. You will meet people there that can support you in many different ways. Get a sponsor and do the steps. That is what helped me.
Good luck on your road to recovery and may you find peace and happiness along the way.
God Bless
