Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Yesterday I was tired, feeling a little miserable and quite sarcastic when I stopped at a convient store for a capaccino.
A woman came in the store and announced that two pit bulls had gotten out of the box of a pick up and were loose in the parking lot. My immediate reaction was to say something like "Really, they escapsed while being restrained by..... air?" But I shut my mouth and smiled.
The same woman wound up ahead of me in line and turned to me and said "Well I didn't want them to get hit" I was thinking "Oh thank God you were there , two less pit bulls in the world would be such a tragedy!" But I shut my mouth and smiled at her as though she had done a great and wonderful thing.
I had also gotten gas and one of my weird pet pievees is that if you have a camera on me at the pump but STILL can't trust me to come in and pay after I pump, you damn well should not have a button showing at the pump that says "Pat inside" ( I know it's pathological but I own it)
As I tried to explain this very nicely to the clerk so she could pass it on to management she responded very sincerely "But you can pay inside, you just have to pay first" Once again I resisted the urge to say something like "Well honey if I was commig inside first I wouldn't need a damn button would I" and just explained it in smaller words.
As I turned to leave a young man said "You dropped this sir" and handed me some cash I'd dropped: He was the owner of the pit bulls!
Tolerance has it's rewards, not so much the cash, far more valuable was the smile I could not seem to get rid of the rest of the day!

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmonĀ
