You're living Life on Life's terms now.... I have been getting through with that saying in my head. Things are tough enough without having to deal with horrible hangovers and losing more brain cells.

I am sorry to hear your cat is gone. Hang in there, indeed. Life is rough sometimes-but you will make it a lot rougher if you drink again. xo

My cat died last week and I am sad. Having lived 16 years with her I am missing our daily routines. There is nothing left for me that drinking would make better.
I hope you'll find your cat and stay sober.

In my early sobriety, I got a 'sobriety cat'. She too went missing and I was devasted.

Neighbours kept telling me how friendly she was and I was like 'my cat, she is so not' and I just didn't understand. I looked for her for about 3 hours and finally collapsed into bed.

My sponsor then texted me about midnight and I had to put the light on to read (my old eyes haha) and.....there she was glaring at me :)

As for the cat the neighbours told me about....one in the neighbourhood had monved in and was nearly identical! Put my mind at rest though.

(((hugs Tinygecko))) I lost my two older kitties to old-age ailments within this past year. Eddie was my newbie I just got in Feb. Little bugger is always so curious about the outside. I think I saw him down by the storm drain near a creek just off my property. I'm going to head back down there shortly.

No drinking. I keep reminding myself: it'll only make it worse. :)

give your local animal contril officers a call to keep an eye out...oh, and don't drink ; )

I've talked to all our local animal control, shelters, vets, pet stores, & canvassed the neighborhood in a mile radius.

I'm not drinking, but I am having a panic attack right now. I was sitting down by the drain/ creek where I thought I saw him when it started. So since I've barely eaten or drank today (& it's about 90+ degrees out), I decided to come home & eat & drink. Hopefully that helps.

The best and simpliest advice I can give you is please eat, something, anything. An empty stomach is the enemy of anyone trying to steer clear of drink.

I hope your kitty comes home soon. Cats are remarkably resilent. My thoughts are with you.

...and breathe.

Mid-week days off are really hard for me even without the added stress of worrying about a cat, so i understand.
