Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
My mom is struggling with being an alchoholic. She got out of rehab towards the end of November and it only lasted about two weeks. My dad told me today he was going to see a lawyer about a divorce. I know this is selfish but that puts so much stress on me. Where does she go. How is she going to make it. I told her today she could move in with me and my family. She is in disbelief he is going through with it. She said to give her two days she is going to quit. I have heard this so many times. She doesnt have any friends outside of him so I hear all the problems. It is so draining. I want to help her but I feel like I have tried all I can. Any suggestions on what I can do to help her? she is so deppresed but wont talk to anyone.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

No matter what happens, the worse thing you can do is hold on to any guilt over it. That's what happened to me., I tried everything to get my own mother to stop drinking and nothing worked. It negatively affected every decision I made in my life because the subconscious mind sees it as, "I'm guilty and I deserve to be punished"! That's pretty much what I did for the next 30 years. I almost didn't make it myself.....So don't do that to yourself.
Eventually, I went through treatment for my own addiction to drugs and alcohol. Luckily I made it because I was motivated to get the help I needed to stay sober.. I lost my wife, I lost my job and all my friends. I had no place to go and I was broke. I had to hit a low before I was willing to do everything it took to stay sober.
You need alot of support for yourself and Alanon is a great place to find support. You can google meetings in your area or attend them online from the comfort of your home.

Try to get your mother to search for “Abraham Hicks and Law of Attraction” on YouTube. You should listen to a few videos yourself. Being in touch with your vibration and source energy can help you find the wisdom to make the best decisions on your situation.
It’s extremely tough watching your parents destroy themselves, my heart breaks for you. There is a gift there though, you are getting to see up close just how horrible it is to live like this. My experience with my parents was a tremendous help in my making the decision to take responsibility for my own alcohol addiction at 39. Since then my life has been amazing.
Try to get your mom to come here and find other forums like it. She will find people just like her who changed their lives and are grateful to listen and offer guidance. Then one day she may be the one helping someone where she was, and I can tell you that is the greatest feeling ever!!!
