Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
Remember that the solution on offer in AA is not just about attending meetings but about the 12 step program too. Dont consign yourself to a lifetime of drinking until you have tried everything AA has to offer.
While you are in your early days and havent yet got into applying any sort of solution it might be wise to stay safe and avoid situations where you are likely to find it difficult. Now I can go anywhere and do anything but in my early days I was very careful about what i did and I stayed away from anywhere risky until I knew that i had a good solution in place.
Possible for you to get to a meeting tomorrow? Try and find some women there who can help you face to face.
PM me if I can help out too.
Listen at your meetings. Identify with others. Listen to people who have good sobriety (don't share shit, seem contented, talk about how life is today, the big book etc). Go a few times and ask one to sponsor you. The quicker you get a new solution (12 step program), the quicker you can move away from using alcohol.
Thank you for the posting and reminding me of the daily 'fight' I used to have with alcohol.
Stick with this and watch your life change for the better. Best of luck to you.
