Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
My ex-wife: for her kindness and practical support in my medical adventure this week. (Yes, "ex-wife" -- this is not a typo! LOL)
My health: that I got a diagnosis that is already responding to meds, and all the other tests came out far better than this alcoholic ex-smoker has any right to expect!
Great post, Ashley! Your gratitude list is fabulous!
My other 4 tonight (so far) will be:
Thank you for the love of my mum and dad :)
Thank you for my car working :)
Thank you for the food on my table :)
Thank you for work being ok today :)
Today i have problems in areas that without AA I would have no area. I am fighting for my very life right now and the program of AA gave me a way to deal with this and every other struggle in my life. By working the steps I found a God that is always with me and will take care of me no matter what live or die. I do not believe I would have found that God without the guidence of AA.
I am able to cope today, to laugh today, to fight today because of what I have receieved and for that I am eternally grateful.
P.S. I went to doc this morning and maintained enough energy to attend 3/4 of my home group meeting. What a joy to see my family many of which I have yet to meet because of my recent absences.
