Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
Now what?
I am just wrapping up 8 days dry. I have done this before, and always go back to drinking. Usually small at first - just a cocktail before dinner, or a single glass of wine. But then I ramp up over time. Need more, as you say, to get the same effect. I am NEVER happy with myself the next day. So why, why, why do I feel like I still want to try "moderation" when my goal of 10 days is up? It's a head game. Obviously, it's the addiction speaking. I am right there with you.
