Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Glad you're feeling better though. It's nice not to have the haze and depression of a hangover, isn't it? And life's problems seem much more manageable (at least for me). Congrats on 1 week+ !

Seriously I am not laughing at you but it is important for you to see how quickly things can change. If you are serious about not drinking then you will need more than not doing it to help you because if you are an alcoholic (and why would you be here if you didn't think you were?) you will drink again no matter how determined you are. If I could have quit by using determination I wouldn't have drunk past 17 years old. Seriously you will need some kind of programme to stay sober. I used AA and have been sober for quite a while. If you decide that you want to quit for good and all then it might be worth checking out your local AA meetings - you don't have anything to lose. If you are scared to go, check your phone book and give AA a call, many places can get you in touch with a local recovered alcoholic who you can talk to and go to a meeting with.
