Happy Easter, Tony!! Just chillin here today myself. Had some conversation with friends, family, got my prayer and meditation in, watching one of my favorite Easter movies and plan on getting something yummy for dinner. All by my lonesome and loving it. :))

me I went to Church this morning then to family home for lunch with them...it was nice...now back home listening to baseball game on radio and noticing tinitus ringing in my ears being extremely loud right now,,,,might be from the sugar treats we had a lamb cake and I grabbed few jelly beans from around base of cake as well as sister's strawberries that she added sugar into...usually she uses sugar substitutes but was out...damn diabetes...

I spent the afternoon at Arsenal v Man City - had an excellent time!! Some people think is is strange but I find watching football very spiritual, especially when Arsenal win!!

I went walking with a friend on Friday, met another friend for coffee on Saturday and have no plans for tomorrow except for a pub quiz in the evening.

One of the great things about living in the day and being free of the obsession to drink is that in recovery terms one day is much like another. No different staying sober on a holiday than any other day.

Having had more than a passing interest in a certain football team from your city for many years I was happy to have an almost uninterrupted Easter Sunday afternoon of lazy TV viewing. The result of the first match brought about a definite increase in the feel-good factor and then it got better as nickyj applauded a certain other team to victory.

If you support the red side of your town, Ho, Ho, Ho Christmas has come early. If on the other hand you live in hopes of a sky blue victory, you have my sincere sympathy - I guess you will be singing the blues for another year or more. As Lennon and McCartney reminded us a long time ago: Money cant buy you love and maybe it cant buy football titles either.

Later on, I watched marching bands in all of their colour and glory and went home with one thought. It is good to be alive this Easter, and I thank God for being sober.

Full of Footy here Tony (AFL that is). The Pies had a win, so it was a good start. Blessed with great weather and hit the beach each morning. Doing a bit of an Autumn clean out each day too. The shops are open here all through Easter except the major stores are closed on Sunday. The traditional barbies are alive and well and we had one on Saturday here with the neighbours. Had to, we won the meat tray down the club raffles.
