This is a true story. Pretty funny.
My ex bf's parents had a male cat. They had him for 11 years. So they thought.
He was getting really sick towards the end.
A respiratory thing and a big lump.
Most likely cancer.
This cat had a history of disappearing for a few days but always came back.
When he was in his sick days he was gone for quite a while and his parents went looking for him and knocked on neighbor's doors.
At the other end of the block they talked to these neighbors.
They said that the cat was theirs and they have had it for YEARS!
This cat has been playing two households for 11 years!!!!
Those people were just as adamant that the cat was theirs just as much as my ex bf's parents thought he was theirs.
The cat ended up dying at the ex's parent's house.
What a skunk that cat was!

I have known for years that we don't own our cats. They stick around as long as we behave.

Cats will do that sort of thing! I have come to accept that people don't really own cats; cats are their own entity entirely, and will go and do whatever they please.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
