Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I accidentally deleted a journal entry that I wish I hadn't. Is there any way to get it back?

Instead of going to work I slept in until 11 am Now I'm treating myself at McAllister's to a Spud Max. When I go back tomorrow it will be Friday!

Just feel free to PM me any time you get the urge. I am sure that 90% of the other DS members feel somewhat the same, but I really can't speak (type?) for them.
If you can gather any encouragement to quit imbibing from this site, then by all means keep reading and posting. If you need extra assistance, then by all means just ask for help, and it will probably come at you from many angles. You must keep in mind that your sobriety requires you to be proactive. It is a real uncomfortable situation at first, but it becomes like ice skating as you progress.
Peace.
I avoided AA for a long time b/c I made up every excuse in the book not to go. Eventually after trying to on my own thing, etc, I finally found what worked for me, and the only thing that has truly stuck, is AA. But that's me. If coming here and reading is genuinely helping you and you are still sober...by all means..keep doing what you are doing. But it helps to have real life support as well. That whole face to face thing. So, continue to do what works for you but keep an open mind...and always be open to a new tool to add to your recovery box. Best of luck. Take care.
Hugs!
