Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I can relate! I wanted to have my cake and eat it too but it was killing me. Eventually, I figured I had enough and went through a treatment program which included AA meetings. My mother wasn't so lucky because she died of her alcoholism at the age of 54. My father lived longer but died a very painful death which was alcohol related.
It might help you decide what to do by dropping in on an AA meeting. In the meantime, we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
God Bless
It was easier for me to drink none than to drink 2, because having 2 meant 3,4,5,6....out of control.
Once I felt the buzz even a little I was done for for the night.
I quit for a year and a half through AA and then decided to see if my time off would make me better able to control my drinking....it did not. I realized I had no choice but to give it up for good.
If you want.to cut back, I wish you luck.

If you are like me, it will continue if you do nothing. You have to do something different like go to AA, or pray, or find an area of interest that makes you feel more whole than what your doing now.
When I gave up, and accepted my life needed to include AA, because I needed help personally with my mind and how I thought, it was a relief alcohol couldn't even come close to.
