Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
I don't know exactly how it happens but it sure does. I too am amazed at how much I have changed over the years.
I stopped keeping a journal quite awhile ago - and thanks for bringing this up - I need to start keeping a journal again.

I get a piece of paper and draw a line down the middle. I write (you can't do this typing) at the top a question. It could be something like "What do I need right now?" or more specific like "Why do I have a problem with _____"
Then, with my right hand (I am right handed), I write the answers in the right column, list style. Then, I switch to my left hand, ask myself the question again, and then put pen to paper. The stuff that comes out on that side is wild. Because we are using a different part of our brain when writing with the other hand, we get different answers. I found that in the week that I have done it, I am always amazed at what comes out. The vocabulary is even different - I end up using words or expressions on the left side of the page that I don't often or even rarely use in writing or speaking.
It may not make sense all the time, but it does get me thinking.
Great post.
Good for you,
Billy
