Does anybody know of any on line AA meetings which use cam and voice?

I don't but I would try the group "aa friends" I think I saw a bunch of postings about something like that there. Sorry I know not much help *smile*

Hi Bob there is a group out of Dallas that does a skype meeting , it is early in the morning. I will see if my friend can tell me how to hook up. I can't cause they have to pump sunshine out to where I live LOL

I don't know of any on-line meetings. However, I know I have to (physically) go to a meeting to get the interpersonal contact.

Isolation is a dangerous thing for us alcoholics. The on-line meeting is a good idea, but I would augment with "real life" meetings. People need people. This is true for everyone, but especially alcoholics and others with addiction problems.

If I was stuck with DS and on-line meetings my quality of sobriety would be really affected. We need human face-to-face interaction and we need people to keep an eye on how we are doing in the real world. No-one can really tell how we are by what we type or even on webcams with mics.

Used correctly, on-line facilities enhance our sobriety, used on their own they can increase the barrier we might put up against normal life.

That's a long-winded way of saying I agree with you wpm! Wpm, I always assumed you were a secretary - words per minute.... my last test was 84, what's yours? Lol
