Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
In the UK we have something called a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check and I have to state I have a criminal record (drink driving) and then I do explain that at interview.
I have been for one interview since I entered AA and it was with a panel of 3...I said I was in AA as I had realised I had an issue with drink. Ironically the 2 ladies said 'well done on recognising' and the guy was like 'how do we know you won't go back to it'. I got the job.
I think our honesty depends on the situation.
Isn't FA about giving those a chance that didn't have it before? Surely it can not just be people with the 'good grades' that get FA? Is that the only reason you didn't get it? Do they say why? That sucks if it is.
You go girl :)
