Good Morning --
Today is day 10 for me but I'm feeling down over the events yesterday in France.
My wife and I did not end up going to see the James Bond movie as we wound up watching the news as the events were unfolding overseas.
Our weekend plans are just to do stuff around the house and transition into the Thanksgiving / Christmas "theme." Hopefully thinking about the holidays will improve my mood.
I am really speechless about last night. It's not as bad as I felt post 9/11 but events like that make me realize how sick and depressing people can be and makes me feel like my struggle with alcohol is just a small blip in a world struggle with much larger issues.

I agree with your insight on the recent events in France. It makes us realize that our problems could be much worse and also it speaks to fragility of life in general. Time to count our blessings........
Congrats on day 10 Rich. Please don't make such a horrible event become a reason for ending your sobriety. Get to day 11 and stick 2 fingers up to the Terrorists. This was actually a pretty clever comment as the 2 fingers (F.O.in the U.K.) actually comes from the Battle of Agincourt fought between the English and the French in the 15th Century :)
I won't use the events in France as a reason (excuse) to drink. I just wanted to reflect that I had not posted yesterday because I was feeling down about those events.
If anything, as others have said, those events remind me how fragile live is and will serve as a reminder that my life and relationships are precious and I shouldn't let alcohol ruin them!
