Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
Second day of sobriety. Feeling anxious, stressed,craving that damn drink. I've been shaking all day. Trying to keep myself as busy as possible but it's always in my mind. Sometimes I get so tired of the battle with alcohol and depression and wish I'd get hit by a car. But I keep fighting. What else can I do.
Not sure if you're going to AA meetings, but they are frequent and plentiful in most major metro areas. Go to a lot, meet a lot of people to be your support system.
