Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
I cant
He can
I think Ill Let Him.
For me this rings true much of what filled my heart was sadness, anger, and hopelessness. I had built this brick wall around me where no-one could get in and I found it hard to get out. It was a horrible place.
But by taking this program out of the BB and of the walls and putting it into my life I was able to take that wall down brick by brick it didnt happen over night but it happened and I was able to replace that sadness, anger, and hopelessness. Happiness Joy and hopefulness, Today I can approach people and people can approach me. What a difference.
Life be in it..
God Bless

I just couldn't imagine living life without alcohol.
For me all I thought about was how I was going to get my next drink.
I accepted I may be dead at 40 because that's when most people in my family were dying mostly alcohol related. The strange thing ,it was at 40 I hopefully had my last drink.
I was unable to hold a conversation with anyone talking about politics or daily events but if alcohol was mentioned I could jump straight in.
I could tell you the percentage of alcohol in any drink.I could tell you the location of most pubs/ bars around the state .I used them in a similar way one would use a street directory.
So I to found it hard to imagine never going without alcohol and I just hung on in the beginning because what I could see on other peoples faces was a whole lot better than what I had to return to.
For me it was a minute at a time then 5minutes then an hour until finally I was able to live a day at a time .Progress not perfection.
Through the grace of God ,AA and a lot of foot work I had my last drink of alcohol on the 27-9-1991 I haven't needed to drink in that time though early on I wanted to.
Do what you have to do to stay sober because the best is yet to come.
God Bless...

Think the first three lifts the obsession and the rest are all about change.
