Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
i just want to share that today was a great day. It didn't start out great but I did what I knew I needed to do and I could feel the spiritual connection. Yesterday I was really down and I posted on here and felt so much support even though I couldn't make a meeting yesterday I knew I was not alone. And I feel blessed for that. Until I found AA I always felt different and out of place. When I get feeling low I try to isolate and tell myself no one understands but that's my addiction waiting to catch me. I have been on an emotional rollercoaster this past nine months but I know that if I stay sober and reach out the bad times will pass. Today I truly felt connected to God and I wouldn't trade my sobriety for the world. I have learned so much and grown so much. And all I can do is hold on to God and AA when things aren't going good. I was given a spiritual tool box but it's my choice whether or not I use those tools. When I do use them I never regret it and I get the spiritual reward of serenity. It's a beautiful life and I want to wish you all a blessed day. Thank you for helping to hold me up to the light when my my head is stuck in the dark. Pain truly is the touchstone of spiritual growth. Everytime I struggle through hard times if I stay sober I come out even stronger. Any one else have experiences like this?

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

God Bless
Eventually the goal is to build up character so sound that your peace is like an automatic mechanism from a repetition of doing the right things. While that is a reality, your energies then focus on others having great days and enjoying life. That is the difference from normal people and great people. Normal people take care of themselves, not causing problems for others. Great people know they are always taken care of by their desire to do the right things and eliminate problems for others.
Not very many people experience greatness, however AA has the formula in the 12 steps for anyone to experience greatness.
I try to believe in a God so awesome he keeps a hold on me and refuses to let go. It is when I pry his grip off of me, usually uncomfortable about his plan and desire for me to be great, that I experience the world, or surviving in the world led by me, a mind that is off the mark regularly.
Do whatever you did today, tomorrow, so you'll have a great day again.
keep it up youre doing very well
