Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
When I first came into recovery I was told dont worry about counting the days just live today. Well I also learnt you can tell an alcoholic, but you cant tell them much. So I started a dairy and I have kept it up for almost 17 years now. With meetings I went to, some things I heard people say at the meetings, what I was feeling and how I was going at the time with my sobriety date in the dairy. And today its good to look through some of those old dairies and just see how far I have come and reflect on the people who where a part of my recovery. Its not for everyone but I am happy I did it.
Some will tell you to not worry about counting your days just to justify them not doing it. Its an individual thing. The main thing is to not pick up that first drink or drug and to work on your spiritual condition daily because all we do have is a daily reprieve. You can do anything else that sits fine with you.
Only my opinion not necessarily others.
God Bless
