Its Monday morning here. I am listening to the World Cup Soccer while typing. Its 5.48am .I have just baked some scones and driven my wife to the station to catch a train to work.
How my life has changed since coming into recovery.
My wife and I went for a drive to the south coast this time yesterday .We are lucky to own a small holiday house at a place called Erowal Bay where there are so many beautiful places its hard to imagine.
On the way yesterday I stopped the car at a place called Kiama to take a few photos of the sun rising up over the ocean even tough it was overcast it was so big, bright and beautiful, in recovery I have found I seem to be closest to my HP at sunrise or sunset or when I am near the ocean and of course in a meeting.
When we arrived at the bay the water was as smooth as a babies bottom there where some men at the boat ramp with there boat about to go and do some fishing.
On the side of the road there were a few kangaroos and on the jetties six pelicans it was so serene.
To some there may say what has this to do with recovery well to me just reading over what I have written it is all about recovery. I will come back a little later and explain. Right now I need to take care of my granddaughter and get my son up for work.

To me, this is SO recovery...before recovery I missed all of this.
To be present in today....that is the beauty of recovery. Things are today in colour...when I first came into the rooms, all was grey (including me and my attitude).
I love 'at peace' moments like this.
