Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

can participate in meetings online,
sharing with fellow alcoholics across the country
or around the world.
Fundamentally, though, the difference
between an electronic meeting
and the home group around the corner
is only one of format.
In any meeting, anywhere, AA's share experience,

Gjm.....when I did a chair (took the lead to those who do not know what that is) in my homegroup AA meeting, I had this readin (appendix 4) read out.
You know why? I seriously do believe that if it wasn't for this forum, being able to come here and ask questions in my very early sobriety, I would not be where I am today. I came here and found so much. I 'grew' here. I never felt enabled. I felt like I was told the truth and, alot of the time, it was direct so I could learn. When I started to lose my faith in AA, here I keep my hope.
I thank my HP (and all of ours) for the day I googled and found DS. That is why I am 'addicted' to it haha
