Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
If a person who is new to sobriety or never experienced it in life thinks that sobriety may be enough, then I would say for that person to go for that bit of sanity first and the tornado winds will slow enough for introspection perhaps afterward.

To most "long-timers" (old-timers?), SOBER means more of a state of mind, but in common usage, SOBER meant "free from alcoholic influence." The Big Book dictionary is a very good investment!
