Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. I am starting to feel the long term effects of my alcoholism.
I have felt "disassociated" with myself for some time now. I originally thought it due to a possible ear infection. Now more recently I have struggled with short term memory problems and even occasional speech problems.
I am a professional who is in charge of a large group of people and I definitely fear the effects my impairments are having on my abilities to perform my job.
I want to stop, yesterday, but I am finding it impossible to go more than 2 days without giving in.
Truth be told im scared of "losing" myself as my brain slowly dies.

I had issues with things kind of like your saying because of my mental illness....I even developed a stutter for while...I never stuttered before...it is gone now...hopefully you can put the plug in jug and stay sober and the problems with this type of issues go away....hugs bill
but the videos I saw in drivers ed of the brain of alcoholic who was in wet brain is bad died of wet brain...big frinking holes in brain cavities....ventricles....not fun
