Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Still working on downsizing! I did so well for over a week, Yes, I need to make a point to try AA. A close friend died, and I've never encountered such a FB war with family! It is terrible! I've lost focus on myself. BF discouraged, asking how much I've had to drink? a vicious circle!

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. You are on a one way train that's guaranteed to crash at the end of the line and unfortunately, everyone around you sees this except you and that's the sad part.
Surely you can try a little harder and get help, if not for yourself then for your family and friends who care about you. Go to an AA meeting, talk to your doctor or call the alcohol and substance abuse center at your local hospital.
You can be a shining example for others if you take a proactive approach and get help to stay sober. Do something and if that something doesn't work then try something else. There are always alternatives.
We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Please keep us posted. Many can identify with you and will be helped.
