blue purple lips

I got nervous this morning when I saw my roomate and her lips were like a purple blue color...she drinks everyday for the past year (before it was maybe 4 days out of the week) and was out the night before...she said she had a couple of shots but of vodka nothing of the blue purple color...she said she felt fine she wasnt dizzy or even hungover...after a couple hours it went away...of my 12 years of heavily drinking that never happened to me....anyone ever experience that?

Try and get her to see a doctor. If she is drinking heavily she won't want to go and you are not responsible for her decisions but you can be there for her.

It would be wrong to rely on advice given here, no matter how well intended, as nobody can say for sure if it is something simple or a serious problem. She needs medical help.

It will be good news if going to a doctor turns out to be a complete waste of time and money.

I wish she would see a doctor I wanted to rush her to the emergency room! but she went to the fridge opened up a beer and said if it doesnt go away by morning then ill go to the doctor uggggghh! thank you all for the responses...I wish she saw my sobriety as a positive thing and quit drinking but she is not ready...I thought that her lips might of scared her sober... i remember those days though nothing mattered except the next drink...thanks again guys... good night....
