I have been to a.a. and had 3 separate sponsers. The first one never contacted me. The second made fun of me. The 3rd sent me stuff to fill out but we never actually met or talked.

I am now drinking again . Dying of advanced liver disease and need help. Where do I go? A.A. is not set up for women in my town. It's great if you are a man but if you are a female good luck.

I have an older sister who is retired now but she was a hospital administrator for years, having worked her way up the ladder from xray technician and I remember her telling me once that you have to do what your doctor tells you to do because if you don't, then they won't fight for you. If you don't fight for yourself, then the doctor will have, no incentive, no motivation to work hard and keep you happy and healthy! I can understand that because they are human and I would probably do the same thing.

I am sure that you DID get a message from God and I just hope you listen this time.

Im sorry AA hasn't worked for you. We have dozens of amazing women in our AA. I've never seen that ridicule.

I was almost dead. My liver enzyme levels were off the charts. I finally decided to get help. That was over four years ago. It is possible to get sober. The body can and will heal itself. The liver is the only organ that can regenerate , if you just give it a chance.
What's the plan to stay sober?

Just wanted to update you guys. I'm actually not having any trouble right now without drinking. It seems to be easier the second go round. Thank you for all of your support.

    check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

     I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...
