if you are taking antabuse + kiss someone who has drank alcohol, could it cause a reaction? is it likely?

Depends on whether she has alcohol in her mouth when you kiss her. Just don't swallow. Otherwise you may feel a heat rush but it will go away quickly (if you get it at all). Just why would you want to kiss someone reeking of alcohol, unless it is your wife or girlfriend?

all is well rambling man, im starting antabuse next week. Im refering to my future husband - he drinks a few beers at night. We are very affectionate, and kiss lots.
Im just concerned that his lips will have alcohol on them (albeit only very slightly) does anyone know if it would trigger a reaction??

Hey dipso, welcome back.

It's good that you're taking precautions in asking. I would ask the doctor that is prescribing the antabuse that question though.

Hi Dipso i used antibuse for about 18 months and have just realised I didnt kiss anyone in that time (sad) but i did use mouth wash with alcohol in and just made sure i spat it all out and rinsed thoroughly.I'm male and used after shave not an issue for you
I believe it helped me get some sobriety time started so good luck with it
