I counted 30 days too Anna when I got here but the way my group does it is "Jan 4-Feb 4". You might clarify with your sponsor.

I believe that the plastic "coins" are 30, 60, 90....day coins, so it is TECHNICALLY OK to take them on the corresponding day.

On the other hand, perhaps you should hold on to all those coins to help remind you where you have been. Some people hold on to every coin they ever recieved. Some pass them on...your choice.

Right you are Wayne. Sorry Howto. I did get 30, 60, 90 day chips. I went from that to the day of the month after that. Otherwise, I would have needed a calculator, lol. Way to persevere on 29 days Anna.

Anna, I have a drawer full of white chips. I could take them to a casino and play all day with them.... someone might notice though..... yes, 30 days tomorrow! You're almost there, almost perfect like me! LOL

I day is a day....we count/give tokens on days at our location....the tokens actually have on them, 1 day, 30 days, 60 days & 90 days....we go by days up until 1 year and than years.....

I obssesed on that very question.

All of the above is correct....but for me....

I picked a Date I wouldn't forget or let my newly sober mind play with. If my date changed monthly......well wouldn't work for me .. for me KISS (Keep it simple Stupid)

The first time hubby got sober he designed an awesome tattoo...with his sobriety date...on his forearm. I didn't say a word.
after all booze was an old lover..but but for the next 5yrs till his death he spiralled down. As he laid on that coroners slab, I could see that tat. I Loved him

Moral - Don't bank too much on that date :)

OT... I'm allergic to the only tattoo I'll ever have. Damn! I SO wanted to be covered in tats by now. Well, no worries. God knew better than to allow it I guess. In any case, no more tats for me. :)

Unless you have money to brighten them up every 5 years....well....I am grey haired and I have gotten some shocked looks over my tats. PPl say I never would of guessed...i just love it

That is really good advice on the tat's in sobriety. That pink cloud feels so good that people do dumb stuff (like get tats and drink). Plus, just my opinion, but they look silly after 35.

Woohoo Olive, yeah I think it's the number of days rather than months cause January has 31 days, February 28.

I guess the way I look at it is after 30 days, 60 & 90 days, then I used the day of the month.

thats funny, i wondered the same thing! i personally counted out every 30 days and marked em on the calendar, i wanted credit for every day lol
