Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
IT IS NORMAL to have energy - I was "hyperactive" as a child too, i have a butterfly brain still to this day - i am a very busy person, but in my mind i never accomplish enough, I can run on little or no sleep - so what- am i gonna take a pill to "calm me down" hell no - i am not.
i like what Olive said - in school she was competative - maybe a good start and to be monitored by her doctor as I definitely am not licesned to give medical advice - but get back into sports, there are all sorts of things that she, being athletic can accomplish - running is like an opiate addiction i saw dreamy posted.
You know the thing is when we first stop drinking, we ALL look for the "reason" we feel the way we do and through all the changes we go through - but there are MANY PEOPLE that find other ways to relax, to calm, I doubt you will find a Monk on meds - well calming meds that is -
I think Olive is great - if she ever gives you a moment to chat with her, take her up on it - i am not saying she's not ADD or ADHD - I just hope her doctor understands the alcoholic and all that goes with it before he starts over medicating her that's all.
Put your fingers together and say ahhhhmmmmm ahhhhmmmm
Peace!
