75!

Hi --

Today is day 75 of me (sort of). I went 53 days and then had a relapse and today is day 22 since that relapse so 53+22 = 75 (out of 76)

I started on this latest journey at the end of January and I made it through all of February without drinking and now I'm excited to make it through all of April without drinking.

Congratulations Rich! Tomorrow will be 30 days for me. This is the first time getting sober in a very long time and it feels good!! You're doing great!!!!

If you insist on counting, why don't you be honest and just say you're at 22???

But I suppose I'm not surprised because I remember another relapse you had and you didn't really want to, sort of, kind of, maybe count that day because you only had a couple of drinks and your wife said it was ok, and you were out with friends and....

Getting sober is a long road, its not easy. We will have struggles along the way, reflecting on how many sober days you have had since the start of your journey can keep you in a positive frame of mind. I to am nearly 4 weeks sober, after a lapse, but I have had my best year yet in sober days, and I consider that an achievement. We are on this website for support and encouragement and knowing we have a common goal sobriety!!

Congratulation on 75 days, Rich!!!!! We are not in AA here so it's not like we are going to have the booze cops breathing down your neck to see if you qualify for you next chip.....lol. If you consider it 75 days then that is YOUR truth so don't worry about what any one else says:)))

Each day is a win. But for me I could quit , I just never could stay quit. The booze was the relief that my mind needed. Until I replaced it with something else I was just unable to cope with life.

75 out of 76 sure beats 75 out of 77 or even 100 for that matter. Most addictive drinkers don't even try to quit and can't or won't admit they have a problem.
At the last manafacturing plant I worked at there were a great deal of drinkers. Many of them had problems due to their drinking but only 2 out of 19 that I could think of would admit or attempt to do anything about it.
I wish you success Rich. Keep on moving forward.

FF, whew!. I'm so glad we don't have "booze cops" in AA either! (whatever booze cops are). :)

I like your attitude of being alcohol free 75 out of 76 days. I have not used or taken a drink in over 2 and a half years. If I can do it you can too. Be well.
