Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
My pdoc says it's it is a symptom of fear. Our emotions prior to anxiety are unmanageable. We are usually confused and resistant prior to a panic attack or anxiety. This is not a conscientious awareness. It's our bodies trying to cope with what we cannot mentally or emotionally handle at the moment.
During detox, it is the symptoms above AND our bodies physically purging the alcohol which are separate and additional symptoms. It's your body and mind in chaos.
It's so horrible. My pdoc has prescribed Lyrica for my attacks. It is a non addictive drug. It has helped me tremendously.
