Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Well done on your six months and three days and your perseverance to stay sober despite the lumps and bumps that life brings. Happy for you!
I am with Antonia here - we don't often get these fantastic check-in posts that have good news. It's great to see that you're doing well...and it won't be long before you're a long-timer :)
Also, I've always been a bit of an AA non-believer BUT def would be willing to give it a try based on what I've read here. So that is my plan for the future, keep at it by myself but one "slip" and I'm going to AA the next day...
Keep on keepin' on!
I go to AA and I will say that it is like my medicine. My Doctor told me at the end of my last debauch to go to a meeting everyday unless i was ill and you know what he was right.. The thing is that for this alcoholic, I have many other issues... dealing with life/ dealing with the people in my life/ dealing with the sun coming up... lol... I go to get a dose of life saving medicine. I can not explain it but it helps me. Try it out and dont wait until "that one slip". The whole thing is that I couldnt have done it alone. (PERIOD) oh and also I have made some real good friends too
hope for your continued recovery
