500 days!!

I am -in less than 15 minutes- 500 days sober! I've been through the wringer in the last six weeks. And Sunday mom had a heart attack. But in a few minutes I will be 500 days clean free sober.

I do the dance of joy people. Me- I - have reached 500 days!! I'm elated, thrilled, overjoyed. To look back and 'see' that pitiful person has turned into a ... ( lost for words here) better -is all I can come up with - better person. I'm amazed and beside myself. I, who broke EVERY rule on when not to drink (was NEVER gonna be a morning drinker) I have made it to 500 flipping clean free sober days. And believe me the temptations have been thrown from every direction in every form. But I'm here - I did it. And tomorrow will be 501.

Good job jada. You've gone through alot of emotional upheaval and didn't have to drink. That was a big deal for me because I was the one who drank whether the sun came up or went down.

I'm so happy for you. BTW, how's your mom doing?

Oh - you guys and gals are like the greatest thing since German chocolate cake. Mom may be coming home tomorrow. All the tests have had good results - except that her heart is badly damaged. It will be months before the doctors will even think of a pace-maker. But she is giving up alcohol too! Thanks everyone for your kindness.. I cannot possibly thank you enough or tell you how much I admire you all - from newest recoveries to longest recoveries. Your successes, failures, up and downs always touch me and help ME strive to be a better person. I send you all a great big high Five...

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
