Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. Made it through day 1, today should not be an issue - headed in for surgery, so I will be unconscious - thanks for all you wonderful words yesterday! I promise not to be a daily "poster" - just think it will help early on :)

All good wishes for the surgery, I'm sure you will be relieved once it is over and despite the anxiety you have no alcohol in your system to adversely affect what must be done. Take good care before and after, your life can change for the better by taking action bravely as you are doing.
Impermanence
I survived 4 major and 3 minor surgeries without drinking. I probably would be dead if I mixed alcohol with the meds that they gave me.

Best of luck. I think I can speak for all members when I say....please post as much as you feel the need to. Whether once a year or 10 times per day. Postings help all of us. So you will be doing a favor for all....posters and postees. Peace to you.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
