I am 48. Full of regrets and embarrassments. I finally have had enough after another night of making an ass of myself without either realizing or caring. I drank beer every chance I had. Always knew where the next beer was. Anyway, after 4 days I am looking for advice. I’m not suffering from the shakes or having any pain. I haven’t slept in 4 nights. The bottom line is I know my patterns. I’m afraid that after a week or another few days I will convince myself that I’ve accomplished something. I can’t let myself go there. The reward will be a beer. Just one. How does one get past these irrational thoughts? Tell me the reward is worth it. Where to next? I don’t think aa is for me so now what? I feel lost. Thanks.
