Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Hi all, I was an alcoholic for 9 years. I have been sober for 9 month. It took along time to admit I was dependent. But took even longer just to say I have had enough. I didnt do AA or none of that. I admitted to my husband that I am an alcoholic ( he being a recovering alcoholic 20 years). I have PTSD and was on anti depressent, sleep meds, and to top it all off I have suffer from degenerative kidney diseased. Sounds like self destruct mode huh?Everyday is a battle. Some days are a breeze, when things get stressed I want to hit the bottle, but I dont. Though my consumption of cigarettes and soda and tea has escalated. I rather that than the later. Well thats my story..Thanks for listening...

So mad at Xfinity! They're trying to charge me $115 per month for the same service I had been paying $50 the last four years. I took the equipment to UPS for shipping and cancelled my subscription today! Next door was a cookie shop called Crumbl. I had heard of it before but never went in until today. I don't need one more sugar fix, but maybe it will help with my sad) grieving heart....$15...

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

The only thing I can say is you have to get to that point where you want to help yourself. At least, that was my case. Once you commit, it aint easy, but the end result is worth it...One of the things I did was slowly taper off til there was nothing. Be honest with your family and be honest with yourself. My son would always keep me on an even keel when I felt the urge to have a drink. For the longest time I couldn't even walt down the alcohol isle in the store. It was only recently that I have been able to stroll down it and not have it phase me...You can do it, just give it a chance........Hugs!!!
