I am new to this site. (relatively). I have been dealing with social anxiety since I was maybe 12 years old. It got to the point I quit a realy good job, Attempted suicide and had to enter a mental war. The good thing that came out of it is that i now have a Psyhciatrist and have been introducerd to cognitive therapy. I also suffer from depression. I feel I let everyone down by quiting a good job. I am still unemployed, but I think I am finally starting to feel better. I am lucky to have a wife and family who stand behind me. My meds are effexor, remoron, clonazapam, and zopiclone (for sleep). I hope they are finally all working. I still have a lot of regret about burning my bridges at several jobs, but I hope to rejoin the work force soon.
