Agoraphobia & Social Anxiety Support Group
Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder, often precipitated by the fear of having a panic attack in a setting from which there is no easy means of escape. As a result, sufferers of agoraphobia may avoid public and/or unfamiliar places. In severe cases, the sufferer may become confined to their home, experiencing difficulty traveling from this "safe place."
I don't know if your state has a program called NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), but they have people you can call and talk to in your area and that can also help with finding jobs that work for you. Their website is www.nami.org . In the menu at the top of the screen there's an option that says Find Your Local NAMI. See if it's in your area and give them a call TODAY. They have been a great resource for me.
I'm sending positive thoughts and calming feelings to you. Please let me know if you need to talk, I'm always here for you. (((HUGS)))
I know that all I can do is just put one foot in front of the other and that somehow we'll get through this one too.
what always scares me is that hubby has depression and I am always worried that 'what if he sinks into a depression', then we're done for because I can't carry us. We are trying to survive this together as best we can, but there is always this worry inside me and so I try to take on more and I simply never fully recovered from the last blow.
we're in Canada btw
I'm trying to bring things down to a level that I can deal with so I'm doing "one hour at a time" spells. I'm trying not to think of the 'what if's' and the 'tomorrows' , and am trying very hard to not panic.
I feel for you Bella and everyone else going through this rough patch. It's hard enough to 'do' life but these challenges are making it appear impossible.
I'm not even going to think about panic attacks or fear or "can I do this job", there simply is no place for that.
So keep your fingers crossed for me please, I'll need it!!
I'm trying not to think about it till I have to be there, or I'll get worried and panicked.
