Agoraphobia & Social Anxiety Support Group
Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder, often precipitated by the fear of having a panic attack in a setting from which there is no easy means of escape. As a result, sufferers of agoraphobia may avoid public and/or unfamiliar places. In severe cases, the sufferer may become confined to their home, experiencing difficulty traveling from this "safe place."

To answer your questions Tryingmybest02. Yes, I am seeking friendship. For months now, I have felt like something is missing in my life. While for the most part, my life is pretty good, my family is amazing, but I really miss having friends. Besides my family, I have my coworkers, who honestly are the closest things I have to friends, but I still feel like something is missing.
Yes, I am taking steps to branch out, and will hopefully continue to do so, but in the meantime, I figure if I find what it means, and what I feel like I am missing, then maybe I can figure out this friendship thing, and have a few.
If I have the right meaning, next stop will be figuring out what I am missing...
I think the thing that I am missing the most is people who are at the same speed as I am. This sounds a little weird, but it seems to fit. My coworkers are all very fast paced people, they treat patients all day, and are in and out at very random times, on top of that when they do get to sit in the office (for half an hour to an hour) with me they have their work to do so they don’t have a lot of time to spend talking to me.
I feel like I spend a majority of my time reminding myself that these people do care, and they show it once in a while. I remind myself that they are busy, and that they might have something on their mind that makes them not notice me. I know things happen, but there are some days where it doesn’t matter what I do, it feels like no one hears me, or has time for me, like I am invisible in my corner of the room, even when they come and open the window.
Part of me just wishes that I could talk to these people more and feel like I am a part of the group, but other parts of me just want my own office.
