Agoraphobia & Social Anxiety Support Group
Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder, often precipitated by the fear of having a panic attack in a setting from which there is no easy means of escape. As a result, sufferers of agoraphobia may avoid public and/or unfamiliar places. In severe cases, the sufferer may become confined to their home, experiencing difficulty traveling from this "safe place."

SA is treatable - until you get better, you develop strategies to deal with the patients and people around you--- the MDs are a different problem. But they are getting better also. I have had SA and agoraphobia for years and years. I have let it keep me (and my spouse) from many activities that I have regretted ever since. But now I have learned ways to deal and have worked as a nurse in many different settings. Once the newness wears off it becomes easier. Dont let SA keep you from your life!
Thanks mamoth. I have also thought about going to school for medical billing/coding.
